The Nelson Affliction

Fraser Nelson, writing in the News of the World, comments on the situation of the Cameron/Clegg 'Love-In' following any referendum on adoption of AV for the voting system.

He ends his article with the words: 'Or this coalition may mutate into a full-blown merger - and the Liberal Conservatives may be born'.

It would seem that Fraser is suffering from the same problem as that of a famous forebear of his surname, namely defective eyesight. Surely with Cameron as leader of the Conservative Party, Liberal Conservatives already exist?

Update: Fraser Nelson expands on the NoW article here on the Coffee House.

  1. The question is rather whether 'The Conservatives' exist?

  4. Many were skeptic when the Coalition was formed months ago. Now that there is a move to make it somehow permanent, it is still not accepted by many. I am also wondering what good it will do to this country. Hopefully, it will really do something good.
