An Example Of Local Democracy

From the State of Oregon comes an example of true local democracy in action - here. It is worth also viewing the FAQs as obviously true democracy does come at a price - however that price is infintesimal when compared to the cost of the system presently used in this country (MP's expenses, as one example, and as part of the total 'cost'?)

Local people, deciding local laws - what is there to fault?
