Crass Letter Of The Day

Not yet on line it seems is this letter in today's Sunday Telegraph:

"Influence in Europe

Sir, - The best way to restore British sovereignty (Letters, August 5) is for Britain to lead from the front in the EU.
The EU actually increases a member country's sovereignty by allowing key national issues to be raised on a far more influential platform.

    I think someone needs to chuck a copy of Jean Monnet's memoirs at him - preferably a hard back copy.

    No doubt he is on the EU payroll, they say it is very lucrative if you are of a criminal persuasion, look at Patten, Britten, Kinock, Mandelslime et al.
