In most departments what I might call the "social work" or Frankfurt Marxist ethic is paramount. Education is one of these.

The Thatcher government's intention was to establish a simple "3 Rs" national curriculum. The establishment got hold of it and turned it into the present monstrous construct. In the Sixties, the Social Work establishment decided that no distinction should be made any more between the deserving and undeserving poor. Furthermore, in the name of "compassion" young women of modest attainments were to be offered a viable career option as state-dependent single mothers. The traditional family is one of the Frankfurt/cultural Marxists main hates.

I had the experience of trying to employ youngsters who were the fruit of this policy - not unpleasant people in the main but with no stability in their fatherless lives. Many also managed to emerge from 11 years of compulsory "education" as functional illiterates an innumerates but the system succeeded brilliantly in giving them a great sense of self esteem.

As a school governor, I found out that many of the younger teachers regarded with horror the idea that children should sound their letters.(C-A-T = cat). They had been taught at training college that this simple and (usually) successful method was as bad as sending children up chimneys.

Now the children and grandchildren of the generation I had to deal with are also being indoctrinated in the desirability of sodomy as a loving relationship.

I hope that the government's scheme to break the chain of political correctness by setting schools free of local politically correct control will work - but I have my doubts. It is already embedded in the thinking of "progressive" Conservatives within the government.Edward Spaltonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04168350315689612490noreply@blogger.com
