They use the fairly common co-axial power plugs which you can buy at Maplins. I have some ex burglar alarm batteries which I use for various projects. These will do a perfect job of running a router, so would an old car battery (but note the polarity in either case!). If you use a laptop, and keep its battery fully charged, this should be sufficient for a few posts!microdavenoreply@blogger.com
