Libertas would appear to have shot themselves in the foot with this.
To state that someone represents a political party when they do not; to state that someone has been convicted of fraud prior to any trial having taken place must lay that statement open to charges of defamation, libel and prejudicing the outcome of the trial.
Methinks, in view of what must surely be a lawsuit or two, they need to consult a lawyer pronto!
