New EU battery disposal laws come into effect today, so the Reading Chronicle advises - a story that Richard North, EU Referendum has spotted.
Picking up on Richard's query about 'battery detectors' one wonders where they would then dump the rubbish in a bin containing one AA battery, as it would have to be classified as contaminated!
