Another good article from Simon Heffer in the Telegraph - however, with one caveat from me. He writes:

"The euro will fail because nations still have an identity, and don't see themselves working to make sacrifices for profligate neighbours."

As will, for the same reason, the EU fail - that nation states are just that - nation states.

Until that is, the EU "regionalisation" programme has finally been completed at which time each country will be know as Region X at which time we will all be "EUians"!
