If anything demonstrated the 'Mickey Mouse' world of EU politics it is the appointment of Baroness Catherine Ashton as the first EU High Representative Foreign Minister First Muppet.
This is someone who has never been elected to any office and has no foreign ministerial experience whatsoever. Wonder how and what she did, favour-wise, to get her title?
Now I have heard of Ashton under Lyne - wonder what she went under?
