Date Of General Election

Both Iain Dale and Nick Robinson have posted about the above and will there, or won't there, be a March election.

Bearing in mind that local elections are scheduled for May 6th and the parlous state of the country's finances, would Gordon Brown 'get away' with the expense of two different dates?

This late in the Parliamentary 'cycle', it was never going to be in doubt one would have thought?

Hardly 'Rocket Science' - but I could be wrong........
