Yes - the man who took the legislation through the Commons on the theme of 'the need for transparency in political donation'; the same man who holds the office of Justice Secretary and the same man who, despite reminders, failed to register a donation.
It is logical to assume that if belonging to a 'club' that has strict rules on what is and what is not classed as a 'donation', one of the most important things you have to do is check that this rule is adhered to. However to be fair Jack Straw, as an MP, does have two things that are not in his favour:
1. He is a member of the Labour Party
2. He is a member of the Government.
