Copycat Cameron?

Courtesy of The Albion Alliance Presents (click on 'go to source') we find that there is little difference between the European Year of Volunteering and the Big Society.
"......an interactive tour that will stop in each Member State to make this year more concrete in the eyes of the citizens and to encourage them to become involved in volunteering."
Cameron launched his Big Society idea in the Conservative manifesto as 'new thinking' - yet it seems the EU launched their idea a tad before Cameron - see here; and this was followed up a few months later with this.

You will, no doubt, have noticed that Cameron's announcement is headed "Our 'Big Society' plan". Tad deceitful is it not, to present something as yours without acknowledging where the idea came from? Tad deceitful too, towards the British electorate methinks!

This must be one of the first instances where an avowed "Eurosceptic" has agreed - and then copied - a policy emanating from Brussels!

'A tad deceitful' sums up, in three words, both the Conservative and Liberal manifesto pledges not to mention ZanuLabour's...

This is obviously just another centralised EU scheme. No doubt each member state* will be allowed to call it by a locally acceptable name. The Interesting thing, which would indicate from how high up the directive came, will be whether America also introduces an equivalent.
*Under the EU we are no longer a country

Woodsy42: good point - think though this is just an EU 'scheme'

Sounds like par for the course for quisling Cameron. He just does not like us or OUR Country.
