Journalism In General & The BBC

The BBC is reporting that 'The head of a government scheme to vet adults who work with children has hit out at criticism of the scheme'.

Really? And what would one expect from someone who has just landed a nice, well-paid, public sector job to do - criticise it? Coupled with the fact that it is questionable whether the picture used shows the legs of 'children'.

When one considers also the reporting of the 'Northeast Passage' being traversed by two ships - brilliantly covered by Richard North at EU Referendum, here and here, one can but wonder how 'journalists' have the effrontery to use that title.
