Others have posted on the indelicate position that it would seem Baroness Scotland finds herself but now the news breaks that she is to be investigated by immigration officials.
"The UK Border Agency will conduct this investigation as they would any other investigation into allegations of illegal working."
Yeah, right - and Gordon Brown has not lied over cuts, either!
"At no stage prior to the matter being raised today did Baroness Scotland believe there was any question over Ms Tapui's entitlement to work."
So the Attorney General, the country's most senior law officer, did not bother to check under rules which one believes are - one could say - set down in 'black and white'.
But hey, being a Labour politician, she only enforces the rules - she doesn't expect to have to live by them!
