What I do find distasteful is the trend that has developed whereby when someone in the public eye dies, 'friends' crawl out of the woodwork to denigrate the memory of the recently departed with 'stories' of 'indiscretions'.
Besides being hurtful, even discourteous, to the family that is 'left behind'; it does not say much about the morals of so-called 'friends'.
I seem to recall that we are told someone once said 'Let him that is without sin cast the first stone'?
