Andrew Lansley was accused of 'letting the cat out of the bag' recently and one wonders whether Ken Clarke has committed the same 'sin', if this report is true.
"If the Irish referendum endorses the Treaty and ratification comes into effect then our settled policy is quite clear: that the Treaty will not be reopened. But it has also been said by David Cameron - and he means it - that it will not rest there and he will want to start discussing the division of competences between member states and the European Union."
Thats cleared that up then! No referendum followed by 'discussions' that Cameron has no hope of winning!
So, a European election campaign and seats won under false pretences........?
