Yesterday, on a day when politics and Parliament are being fired on from every angle, the head of the Senior Salaries Review Body chose that day to announce that in his opinion MPs were underpaid by about 10-15%! Mr Cockburn told a committee of MPs that a review of parliamentary salaries would be carried out after the next election.
Every parliamentary candidate at the next election should be asked to give a guarantee that any proposal for a salary increase will be voted against. It would be a bonus were they to also guarantee their willingness to support a Private Members Bill to implement The Plan!
