Everyone must have had that time in their life when, for whatever reason, they have felt the 'Sword of Damocles' hanging over their heads.

In today's political timescale it could be said that Gordon Brown's 'Sword of Damocles' is Charles Clarke. Fast forward, if opinion polls are correct, 12, 18 or 24 months; could David Cameron's 'Sword of Damocles' be Daniel Hannan?
