Speaker's Statement

The long awaited statement from Michael Martin, aka the Speaker of the House of Commons, turned out to be a bit of an anti-climax in the end - no resignation statement of any description, typical socialist mindset to solve a problem - hold yet another meeting, lack of procedural understanding, at times inarticulate........

The half-hour that Martin's statement and the following points of order consumed created what can only be described as unprecented scenes involving MPs openly calling for his resignation, something which surely anyone with half a brain would realise made it untenable for him to continue in office - I know, I know, in Martin's case - oxymoron!

Michael Martin, leaving aside his inability to carry out the duties his office demands, is but one example of the, for want of a better word, corruption - and I use the word not so much in the financial sense but in the moral sense - prevalent within the Commons.
