Referring to the preceding post and my assertion that the environmental lobby distort facts to make their presentations more 'believable', witness the BBC news last night.
The environmental correspondent of the BBC, David Shukman, in doing a report on the effect of a one metre rise in sea levels, as predicated by the recent Copenhagen climate summit, whips out a tape measure and measures one metre from the top of a sea wall. Very dramatic!
Now go back and measure one metre from high water mark - you idiot!
Perhaps the BBC would also explain to their funding source (the viewers) how they justify such sloppy, unfactual, and patronising reporting such as that.
