Political 'Ploys'?

On politicalbetting.com 'Morus' has a post which poses an intriguing question.

Has the statement by Andy Burnham, Secretary of State for Health, that swine flu cases could reach 100,000 per day, [based on what calculation - Ed] coupled with today's request by a local Labour party official that George Osborne be investigated by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards, been designed as a political manoeuvre by our Dear Leader to improve his standing with the electorate?

I would not put anything past the Prime Bastard!

The Swine Flu thing could also be the start of a slowly-building synthetic panic which culminates, around next March, in the use of the Civil Contingencies Act to postpone the general election.

As you way, I wouldn't put anything past these bastards.
