In his latest post Gerald Warner lays into the growing gulf between politicians and the people. Boy, can this man write! Discussing the House of Commons, Warner says:
"We have to scrutinise the swarming pathogens in that sink of corruption and ask ourselves seriously whether we can tolerate its continued existence, at least in its present form. Likewise the now deeply anti-democratic institution of political parties must be reassessed.........To quote one of the wide boys most deeply complicit in the erosion of democracy, “We can’t go on like this.”
