Pot & Kettle

Politics Home Dashboard, at 10.25today, summaries comments by David Cameron on the Winter Fuel Allowance and the Labour Party as "Labour are 'appalling people' telling 'lies'".

Is not telling the British people that the Conservative Party would grant a referendum on EU membership and then reneging, not lying? Is not telling the British people that the Conservative Party would curb immigration, but not mentioning this can only apply to those from outside the EU, not telling lies? Is not presenting an energy policy to the British electorate without making clear that the underlying basis of that policy is driven by adherence to EU requirements, not telling lies?

Need I continue?

Politicians wish the electorate to respect and trust them - in which case stop f'ing lying to us!
