The NHS Is Safe With Labour (Not)

Do go read this story from National Death Service - please!

If this type of event is the result of 'cost effective service', represents 'care in the community' or any other 'sound-bite' phrase then heaven help us!

It would be interesting to know who made the decision not to have an anaesthetist on duty 24/7. If it was a 'manager' (aka a bureaucrat with no medical experience) then I truly hope that (a) he/she loses their job and (b) they suffer many a sleepless night!

Ta for link. Mrs W and I were in exactly the same situation a few years ago, and everything turned out fine, but reading the article, I dread to think ...

Glad to know that Mrs. W and your experience turned out well - thank heavens! It is the people like the woman and her husband mentioned and others who suffer that makes my blood boil!
