Yet Another UKIP Policy Idea Stolen

England Expects and the UKIP blog pick up on a story on msn money and also in the Daily Express that 'it is in Gordon Brown's mind' to raise the rate at which income tax becomes payable to £10,000.

It would be expecting too much, I suppose, for a politician to exhibit one shred of honesty and decency (especially one of the governing party)  and to admit that, having looked at another party's idea (which they have held for a few years) on taxation, the idea of raising the starting rate does in fact make sense.

But how many politicians have one shred of honesty and decency - only a very few it would seem! If a raise in the starting level for paying income tax ever sees the light of day, pound to a penny it will be presented as a Brown initiative!

Anyway Gordon, if you are going to 'nick' one of UKIP's policy ideas, how about you also nick their policy to get us out of the European Union!
