The Green Scam

It has long been held that successive governments in this country have been guilty of operating ponzi schemes in that such schemes are fraudulent - the most fraudulent of which must be the 'Green' scheme

Nothing demonstrates this better than two stories in the Mail here and here, the first informing us that more than half of Britain's 'bird-mincers' - to use Richard North's term - have been built where there is not enough wind; and the second informing us that 'green taxes' could treble by 2020 and by then be costing us £16billion per year.

Policy Exchange has produced a briefing note, which in its Executive Summary immediately accepts an unproven fact, makes a senseless statement - and then admits that the first two will have significant cost for us!
"Climate change poses major risks; mitigating its effects must be a priority; and the resources costs of doing so will be significant."
One would have thought the first requirement for a 'think tank' is the ability to think in a logical manner!

Not a government one, no. They usually start from a position the government want to see and work back.

WfW, Its a classic case of PRS, (Problem, Reaction, Solution).

Its what the plethora of think tanks spend their time thinking about. i.e. This is the solution we want, so how do we create the problem and whip up the reaction.
