"Not everything Labour has done has been wrong. They have done some good things" - David Cameron, during last night's debate.
Presumably the law which allowed this (also covered by the Daily Telegraph) to happen is not one of the 'good things'. From the way the story is written it would appear that the police, unable to get an 'easy' drink/drive conviction decided to look for another reason by which they might improve their arrest record.
What the bloody hell happened to common sense - something obviously sorely lacking in the police and the magistrate concerned, law or no bloody law.
