Why Air Traffic Is Grounded

The BBC reports that Air traffic control body Nats said the flight restrictions over England and Wales would remain in place until at least 1300 BST on Saturday. Later in the report - in passing, so to speak - the BBC mentions Eurocontrol, the European air traffic control organisation.

As with BBC 'fair reporting' generally, what it does not tell you is that air traffic movements over all of the European Union are now controlled by Eurocontrol - in other words Britain does not have the final 'say' over the use of her own airspace.

Eurocontrol operates the 'Single European Sky' programme which puts forward a legislative approach to meet future capacity and safety needs at a European rather than at local level.

Just another 'power' that our country has lost in its absorption into the European 'State', a 'State' which we were assured would never come into being!

Thought I would mention it in passing.........

CBC in Canada have made it quite clear that Brussels has been calling the shots. I have to say I do find the CBCs reporting more honest, and free of political bias, so unlike the Beeb.
