Ah Well, At Least I Keep Good Company!

It would seem that some bloggers have annoyed Grahnlaw:

"Pot shots by ‘patriotic’ foot soldiers in the Angloblogosphere (examples EUReferendum blog, Witterings From Witney, The Talking Clock, Your Freedom and Ours, The Boiling Frog, John Redwood, the Taxpayers’ Alliance, Cranmer) echo the big guns by repeat fire consisting of legitimate criticism, one-sided cursing, twisted facts and pure Euromyths."

To accuse Richard North, EU Referendum, or Helen Szamuely, Your Freedom and Ours, - two bloggers who surely know more about matters EU than anyone - of one-sided cursing, twisted facts and pure Euromyths really does beggar belief.

It is said that those who have no answer usually revert to name-calling........

It's quite amusing really.

Im a regular reader of Ralf Grahn's blog and have always been impressed with his seeming even-handedness. He comes over as not being overly impressed with the mechanics of the EU despite being one of its devotees.

At the moment I think he sees himself as the focal point for a pro EU propaganda campaign and is trying to whip up enthusiasm.

The problem is that most anti-EUers are all argued out. We've arrived at the point where no amount of explaining bureaucratic and authoritarian laws and regulations is going to make us like the EU.

I think of these people as political 'bunny boilers'. No matter how often we spurn their advances they still think that we love and need them.

Not this one, friend, not this one!

Oh, I think the battle's won.

I know, don't be too complacent.

The point is that the Ralf Grahns of the EU fan club are coming out fighting because the ordinary joe-on-the-street has shown them in their latest EU barometer poll that he is fed up of paying for two governments.

Their only weapon now is fear. If we could only get Cam/Clegg to get Britain off of its knees, resurrect our farms, nuclear power, and manufacturing industries, and reclaim our independence....

Oh alright, I agree, keep arguing WfW.
