The musings of a freeborn Englishman who is totally disenchanted with the present dictatorial attitude that poses as democracy
"It must never be unpatriotic to support your country against your government. It must always be unpatriotic to support your government against your country."
Agreed. Hating 'that lot' in Brussels does not make me isolationist or racist any more than hating 'the other lot' in London makes me unpatriotic.
Agreed alsoHowever first someone will have to teach the masses that the government is 'not' the country, they will also have the same job with 'the government'!
What if the government hates the country?
MW, ta for your secondingAnon (1) ta also. Re teaching, I fear it is a long process........Anon (2) Ah but if we had referenda and the right to instigate and control the re-call system (rather than govt deciding whether we did)no govt would last 5 minutes as we then just do a mass recall resulting in one dead govt!
