Now The Tories Wish To 'Control' Us?

It is reported by Politics Home that Alan Duncan, Shadow Leader of the House, has said:

"A debate on moral authority so that this house can help establish a code of modern manners for privacy, humour and comment which can be practiced and agreed by everyone in place of the current chaos which provokes animosity and condemnation where it all could be so much better handled".

When will politicians stop trying to order my life? I have no wish for the establishment of a code of modern manners for privacy, humour or comment. What about my choice to decide what I find, for example, funny?

Is this official Conservative Party policy, or is this just Alan Duncan being a 'politician'? Either way, has he not learned anything from the example set by this present bunch of control freaks?
