Henry Porter, in the Guardian's Comment is Free, has a well written piece - do go read it.
"MPs' ideas of a sovereign parliament appear to be limited to the retention of their own personal information and the abuse of taxpayers' trust. Forget any notion of MPs standing up to Europe or reigning in an increasingly autonomous civil service."
MP's, generally, have lost sight of their reason for being elected, have a warped sense of their own importance and, by their own efforts, have managed to totally rewrite the definition of 'democracy'.
