What Brown Meant To Say

Politics Home has a report on the interview our Prime Twat gave to Sunday Live on Sky News today.

I have extracted some quotes and added - in brackets - the words he appears to have forgotten to include.

"Our first priority, and it is our first priority, is homes and jobs (our homes and jobs anyway) and that is the only thing on my mind at the moment, how to take the action necessary to get us through this downturn. I can say we are taking every step possible, every action to get us through this recession quickly."(whilst ensuring my government does not lose the next election)

"I do not believe MPs are generally trying to take money unfairly." (anyway, not while we stick to the rules we drew up)

"The public are suffering at the moment as a result of the recession, people are losing their jobs, they are worried about their homes, worried about their businesses, the least we can do is show we are not taking a pay rise. It is important for the public to know we understand this is not normal times and ministers are going to make this sacrifice," (but if the public think we will make the ultimate sacrifice and resign then think again - peasants!)
