Peer's Second Homes

In passing Paul Waugh comments on the case of Lord Rennard and his expenses and the fact that the complaint by the Sunlight Centre for Open Politics has been rejected.

It had been my intention to pass comment on this ruling by the Clerk of the Parliaments, but what is extraordinary is the fact that there is no definition of what comprises a 'main residence'. What is even more extraordinary is that in the current political climate the Senior Salaries Review Body, having been asked to provide such a definition, have yet to do so.

And not one Peer noticed this? You bet they did and decided to keep schtum!

House of Lords? More likely, as with the House of Commons, the House of Violin Playing Wannabees!
