Time and time again an 'idea' is 'floated', dismissed as a rumour and then when rumour 'hardens' into proposed legislation every government of the day has assured us that it will never be agreed to and would not affect us. We have been lied to and mis-led on each and every occasion!
The two latest 'ideas' being floated are that firstly, whilst we would not lose our position at the top table in the IMF we would have to present the 'EU position' and not our own. Secondly, a suggestion has been made that this country's naval bases should become an EU 'asset'.
