An Interesting Article

Not being a reader of the Guardian on a daily basis, purely for the paper's general political views - leaving aside the main reason that Polly Toynbee is one of the main contributors, a valid reason in itself - it does, now and again, have articles of note.

One such is this by Libby Brooks, discussing the various aspect of 'the age of majority', raises an important point.

Her article suggests that the 'age of majority' should be lowered to 16, yet when one looks at the state of society today - whilst also bearing in mind that until one reaches the age of say 21, one has not 'experienced life' to any substantial degree - perhaps there is an argument for raising the 'age of majority'?

Just a thought................
