Zieg Heil!

Courtesy of Richard North, EU Referendum, who point us to this article in the Grauniad.

Regular readers will know, only too well, that I frequently complain about the lack of democracy presently suffered by the people of Britain, that I am totally fed up with what I call 'democratic dictatorship' - in other words politicians telling us how we are to speak, think and act.

A prime example of this 'dictatorship' is the utterings, encapsulated within the linked article, of 'The Boy Who Would Be Prime Minister' in which he is quoted as saying: "A very small number of people take a different view on the science, but the policy is driven by me, and that is the way it is going to be".

So there we have it - on the basis of an unproven science this country is 'donating' £1.5billion to some politically inspired scam and The Boy is gungho for it. And have we, the ones who are providing this money, been asked? No! Will we be asked? No! More importantly, will it ever enter The Boy's head to think of asking us? No!

The Boy is right on two points though - credit where credit is due - that people do not like being lectured, neither will democracy improve if we have politicians telling people how to live their lives!

As Richard North comments on the statement quoted above - he is not even elected yet. To which I add: And God help us if he ever is!

Zieg Heil David Cameron!
