In a previous post I lamented that political parties had such a hold on their candidates that those candidates did not seem to be able to think for themselves and, if elected, would have been no more than 'voting-fodder' for their party.
It would seem that for all David Cameron's statement that his policy on EU membership is settled, there are some candidates, here and here, with minds of their own, candidates who believe that country comes before party and who believe in democracy.
There is hope for the country yet!
