Politically Correct Tesco?

A story in the print edition of the Telegraph - which does not seem to be available on line - reports that Tesco have instructed one of its largest suppliers in New Zealand, Silver Fern Farms in Fairton, that it should stop using dogs to herd its sheep into the abattoirs. This is due to the fact that the sheep become 'distressed' by the scurrying and yapping dogs according to the supermarket, even though the National Farmers' Union have said they are not aware of any research indicating that farm animals suffered stress because of sheep-dogs.

If this story is true - and one does wonder whether it has appeared three days late - then, as mentioned by some in New Zealand, it is 'politically correct idiocy'.

Some in New Zealand have obviously not yet realised that this country is in the thrall of 'politically correct idiocy', led by people who themselves are infected by 'politically correct idiocy'!
