Surely There Is Only Two Lessons To Learn?

Mike Smithson heads a post with 'Can Brown take hope from Major in 1992?'.

There is only one 'hope' that the electorate has and that is that Brown is given the opportunity of 'going back to economics school' and learning two elementary economic lessons:

You cannot spend what you haven't got and that it is the productive section of a society that funds the unproductive!
