Denigrating a book which I admit I have not read, which as far as this post is concerned is neither here nor there, Maria McCaffery makes statements that surely will come back to haunt her.
"The opponents of wind energy continually promote a series of inaccuracies, half-truths and lies."
What, just like the proponents of wind energy, Maria?
"The energy debate, including that surrounding the expansion of wind energy must be based on facts, not myths. Opponents of wind energy must not be allowed to continue to cloud the debate with such egregious misinformation and distortions."
If we are to have an energy debate, then surely the proponents of wind energy must not be allowed to cloud the debate with such egregious misinformation and distortions - Eh, Maria? And of course as a proponent of wind energy, you always base your arguments on facts, not myths, don't you Maria?
Now as readers of this blog know, my opinion of 'journalistic standards' is extremely low, in fact it could not get much lower - however even journalists must now rank higher than the chief executive of the British Wind Energy Association, especially if the post holder can put their name to such drivel as has been written - drivel that Christopher Booker demolishes time and again, of which this is but one example.
