I have posted on the NHS previously, however does not this article in the Daily Telegraph undermine the claim that the NHS is a 'health care system the envy of the world'?
The response of the Department of Health spokesman only serves to draw attention to the 'box ticking' mentality of government.
""Patient safety is the highest priority for the Department and the NHS and 93 percent of patients rate their care as good or excellent."
Depends on the patient asked - does it not? This leads one to believe that this statistic may well be 'selective'? Never mind, a 'survey' has been held and another 'box ticked'!
Reference to the National Death Service blog will only show that the NHS is most definitely not worthy of the title!
