Christine Odd One Odone really does write utter tosh - but then she does write for the Daily Telegraph so I suppose that is to be expected!

'Predictably, it groans with populist pledges' - is that not what a political party is supposed to do? Offer policies that the electorate want? Is not power to the people in the shape of local control of everything from the police to the schools not democratic then? FFS - has this woman no brain?
As for her later remark that ".....with UKIP at the helm we will be pulling out of a culture that prizes tolerance and mutual respect." All I would say is that when some immigrants show my country and its people the respect they are due, instead of trying to change my country's culture - then will I show that same respect to those immigrants!
If only Barclays would close her account - oops, sorry, wrong Barclays, so I can't bank on that either!

I actually think the main parties are quite worried. You only have to look at the comments on ConHome to see the angry ex Tories all turning to UKIP.
Labour are losing to the BNP and the rest don't give a hoot!
