Gordon Brown gave a highly-trailed speech today to the Progressive Governance Conference and as intimated by some in the blogosphere, it contained the obligatory tractor-stats - and 'the children'.
At the same time James Purnell decided, with delicious timing, to announce that he would not be seeking re-election.

Yeah, but it's a faux pas to mention Purnell without linking to this.
At least Purnell's exit is news WFW. Brown's regurgitated propaganda is becoming tedious.
