Sharks - The Aquatic Variety, Not Our MPs

A story in the Daily Telegraph relates that it is thought the number of Great White Sharks is less than the number of Tigers.

Needless to say the EU has already entered the fray with this Communication from the Commission to the European Parliament and the Council on a European Community Action Plan for the Conservation and Management of Sharks, included in which is the Great White.

In respect of the Great White it would seem from this that their numbers are few, if any, around Britain's coastline and waters.

But hey, as a scientist is quoted as saying in the Telegraph report: "Some people say I don't care, they eat people, but I think we have to give them a little space to live in." Presumably this scientist was referring to the aquatic variety!
