More EU Regulations - Tobacco

Being one who finds the EU, and their actions, completely odious, this - hot off the presses - comes as no surprise whatsoever.

I do so like the phrase "it is aimed at modernising and simplifying the rules and making them more transparent". And do note that the decision was taken without discussion, won't you? Yet another example of the EU's understanding of 'democracy'.

Oh yes, what happened to that "free movement of people, goods and services"? No doubt Article 6 of the TFEU overrides that. "The Union shall have competence to carry out actions to support, coordinate or supplement the actions of the Member States. The areas of such action shall, at European level, be : (a) protection and improvement of human health......"

How long before the bastards turn their attention to alcohol?

Afterthought: Returning to Article 6, how long before the EU 'regulates' where and when you can smoke?
