Governments May Change, But..........

The quangocrats carry on as usual, dictating how we live our lives. The latest example is Professor Mike Kelly, director of NICE’s Centre for Public Health Excellence, who says the state has a duty to prevent children from hurting themselves. “Our aim is not to promote a nanny state where children can’t have fun or lead normal lives, but there is an important balance to be struck between good and bad risks,” he said. NICE recommends PCTs should take responsibility for making checks on so-called domestic hazards such as windows, stairs, taps, heaters and cupboards.

On the basis the state now denies parents to select the type of schooling that best suits their child and to discipline their children as they see fit, the state may as well decide how parents look after their children prior to starting school!

Had I children and Mike Kelly, or any of his acolytes, visited me he/they would promptly solve any concerns he/they have about Britain's energy problems - he/they would have his/their 'lights' punched out!

It sure does DP but the sad thing is that we are not surprised it still continues.
