Love him or loathe him Peter Hitchens, writing in the Mail-on-line, does now and again hit the proverbial nail on the head.

"Well, congratulations boys and girls, you've 'got rid of Gordon Brown' and how much better do you feel than you did when he was there? High taxation gone, has it? Grammar schools back, are they? Political correctness has been removed from public life, has it? The EU has been told to clear off, has it? Mass immigration is stopping, is it? Crime and disorder are under control, are they? Marriage has been saved, has it? Britain has pulled out of the idiot war in Afghanistan, has it? The rape of the constitution is over, is it?"

Next time people, read the bloody manifestos! On second thoughts - don't bother!

He's a tad premature, dontcha think?

This is only Day 2, FFS! They started well by agreeing a 5% pay cut, now let's see how they do with all the other waste.

I'm no fan of the new ConDemNation, but we should cut them some slack.

Exactly, so you remember the referendum Labour promised, and the court case?

Let's hope there's some rebuilding of trust. In the meantime we need a touch of patience. They've only been there a couple of days.

To All,

Yup admittedly only two days - but a sodding declaration of intent would have been handy! Useless as they are, it would have been nice to see a bloody manifesto too!
