One Question, Mr. Cameron

Politics Home, front page at 14:02,is quoting David Cameron stating that the 50 year treaty with France, on our armed forces, was about 'defending our national interests'.

If he is so intent on defending our national interests, why is he so obviously hell-bent on handing those national interests, on a plate, to Brussels?

The Conservative Party Manifesto contained these words in the Foreward, signed by David Cameron:
"But in the end all the Acts of Parliament, all the new measures, all the new policy initiatives, are just politicians’ words without you and your involvement."
The Coalition: our programme for government contained in these words in the Foreward, signed by David Cameron and Nick Clegg:
"We have a shared ambition to clean up Westminster and a determination to oversee a radical redistribution of power away from Westminster and Whitehall to councils, communities and homes across the nation. Wherever possible, we want people to call the shots over the decisions that affect their lives."
So  where, exactly, 'Honourable Gentlemen' did we and our involvement feature; where, exactly, did we call the shots - when considering this new 'treaty' on our armed forces, the increase in our EU budget contribution, the decision to grant prisoners voting rights?

It has been normal in ages past that the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom spoke for his country and its people. Let there be no mistake when I say that the present incumbent of that, what was a once, honoured position no longer speaks for me. I no longer wish to be associated with the words of a spineless, yellow-streaked apologist who obviously no longer believes in his country, its history and uniqueness.

One can but hope that, like his alter-ego, Cameron has received his 'thirty pieces of silver', because by Christ, has he earned them!

Make that 3.

They speak only for themselves and their own.

Ahem - Four.

I would like to see Cameron being rowed under London Bridge on his way to Traitor's Gate. If he had a shred of integrity left in his body he would be hanging his head in shame.

What is it about the air in Witney? Three in a row that have, as soon as elected, started telling fibs to the rest of us about the EU.

Make that five.

Labour, in an effort to discredit Cameron, is shovelling eurosceptic arguments into HoC debates, bless them. They are doing the work of the Tory sceptics and I hope the latter take advantage of the momentum which Labour is giving them.

Do they have spine enough, though?

PMQs should be delicious today. ;)

G K Cesterton admirably summarised our Prime Minister, and the rest of his crew, in The Secret People.
"They have given us into the hand of new unhappy lords,
Lords without anger or honour, who dare not carry their swords.
They fight by shuffling papers; they have bright dead alien eyes;
They look at our labour and laughter as a tired man looks at flies.
And the load of their loveless pity is worse than the ancient wrongs"
